On Friday 25th September Miss Tomlin and Mr Burkett organised a Big Coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Nurses. A number of staff contibuted homemade cakes for sale to staff and students, with a special thankyou to the school’s Training Officer, Mr Wackett, who baked 12 alone. Thursday 17th September saw the Central Theatre Chatham host Holcombe’s annual Senior Prize Giving. A celebration of the achievements of Students and Staff alike, the evening provided a mix of musical entertainment, showcases of Trips and Activities as well as the main component of issuing Certificates and Prizes. A number of the items included Videos or Slides shows [...] [...] In September 2009 Chatham Grammar School For Boys was awarded the Full DCSF International School Award. This accredited scheme acknowledges the outstanding curriculum-based international work which our students participate in. The international dimension is an increasingly important part of education and helps our school community to develop a greater awareness of the cultural heritage of teachers [...] [...] |
