Sky Sports interview PE Staff
Footballer Chris Smalling, previously of Maidstone United and currently playing for Fulham, looks set to join Manchester United for the 2010/11 season having recently agreed terms with the reigning Premier League Champions.
England Under-21 International defender Smalling was a pupil at the school from 2001 until 2008 having studied A Levels in Business Studies, Media Studies and Travel & Tourism.
The school is understandably very proud of Chris who was always an outstanding sportsman who applied himself to every sport he participated in. It is the opinion of the PE Department that Chris would have excelled at any sport he choose to commit to.
The school today has hosted a reporter and camera crew from SKY SPORTS, who have picked up Chris’ remarkable story and were keen to understand the environment that has helped foster Chris’ in demand skills.
