Another huge success for the school, even though the team was down three competitors.
However after a Winston Churchillesque speech, the boys went out and outperformed themselves, allowing us to go into the final two events, the Year 9 and the Year 10/11 Relays 1 point ahead of the Maths school.
An Excellent relay by the years 9’s with Jian Earle and Lloyd Milner effectively destroying the rest of the field in the first two legs meant a win, and coupled with an illegal changer over by the Maths meant that we went into the final Relay still in first place! All the boys had to do was get the baton around safely and quick! They did so, and after a tense finish to confirm no illegal change over’s we were crowned Medway Athletics Champions again.

Ben Murphy – 2nd in the 1500m, and 2nd in the High Jump
Jacob Hawkins – 1st in the 800m
Bradley Chilton – 1st in the Discus
Kyler Adote – 2nd 100m and 1st Long Jump
Sam Coleman – 3rd 100m
James Hatton – 2nd Javelin
Kane DiMech – 2nd Shot Putt
Jack Grey – 1500m, volunteered to do it the day before and placed mid field!!!
Conor Coburn – 1500m 3rd
Zak Gardner – 2nd Shot Putt
Lloyd Milner – 1st 400m (and ran a faster time than the Year 10/11 winner!)
Eben Naulls – 3rd long jump
James Draper – 1st 100m
George Terry – 1st Javelin and 3rd 200m
Sean Weddell – stepping in to run a 400m and finishing 3rd behind two monster Year 11’s, also the first time he had run a 400m
Max Parsons – 2nd Triple jump
